Tuxedo also known as dinner jackets or tux for short is originated in the US around 1888, where tuxedo derived its' name from Tuxedo Park, at Hudson Valley, an enclave of Manhattan, New York's elite class. Tuxedos are formal suits worn for dinners, red carpets and special evening events. One of the major design pattern that distinguised Tuxedos from the other suits is its' Shawl lapel usually made of satin orgrosgrain.
Originally Tuxedos are black but recently, designers are blending in nice colours to the Tuxedos jackets with mostly different colours of lapels. This is one of the trends that lead many grooms to choose tuxedos as suits of choice for weddings. Tuxedos are better worn with formal suit accessories:- formal shirts, shoes, bow ties and other accessories.
Note: Trousers of suits in this section "Tuxedos" have the same coloursand materials with the lapel of each tux, with few exceptions where two dfferent materials and colurs are used for the lapel. To be on the right side always ask to confirm.
